The Whisky Exchange II, a premium home bar made from retired oak barrels.
Made to order- Lead time 3-4 weeks.
We have three designs available.
This design has two half barrels.
We are able to offer slight tweaks on the design/ dimensions (so long as they fit within palletised shipping criteria) .
The bar top is made from reclaimed scaffolding boards, 3.5 centimetres thick. The bar top has a characterful moulding around the edge, providing a wonderful solid look. The top has received several coats of medium oak satin varnish.
The fixtures around the barrel top are made from retired Scotch whisky barrel hoops, as are the curved corner pieces. The rustic steel combines with the bar top beautifully. The barrels were originally American bourbon barrels, most likely from the bourbon rich area of Kentucky in the United States. They were later shipped to Scotland to be used for Scotch whisky. They are likely to be several decades old. We have stripped the old tannin and carefully refurbished them, leaving some of their bronzed colouration through the oak stain. The steel hoops have also been refurbished, retaining some of their original rust, in keeping with the rustic appearance.
The bar is made up of two half barrels. The inside of the barrels have been restored, resulting in a stunning charred effect, with a sumptuous whisky aroma.
Each barrel has a middle shelf, made from a retired Scotch whisky barrel lid.
The wooden trim aligns the barrels and connects them together.
Each barrel has a glass holder .
Please note, the under bar warm white lighting is for example purposes only and not supplied. These strip lights are an incredible way to enhance the look of your bar and are easy to fit and very cheap (approx £10).
