At Coach House Creations we make unique and innovative pieces from retired Scotch whisky barrels. Many of our items have been part of the Scotch whisky industry for decades and possess all the characteristics and charm which capture their fabulous past, not least of all that sumptuous whisky aroma engrained deep within the oak. The ‘Highlander Personalised’ is a fabulous drinks cabinet made from a reclaimed whisky barrel. The bar is the same as one of our original designs (The Highlander) but with an added personalisation on the barrel top.
The cabinet will comfortably hold several dozen bottles and will look incredible in any home or even a bar type establishment.
Each barrel is handpicked and although the design is the same for each, the characteristics  including oak markings / colour and bash marks etc are unique.

Each barrel will retain its original steel barrel hoops which are subtly refurbished leaving a slight rusted look. The metal compliments the oak wonderfully. The steel may rust slightly more depending on conditions within your home, however this can be maintained using typical methods.

On the inside, the staves possess some of their charred / toasted appearance combined with a gorgeous golden oak tone oozing character and rustic appeal. We pay a lot of attention on revealing the aged oak instead of it being hidden under the char. The beautiful oak provides a fantastic back drop for your display which is enhanced when using lights.
On the top we add personalised text using vinyl which is then varnished over to add further protection. Please message us with your personalised requirements. The one shown in the photos is an example however we are open to discuss other designs within reason.
We can supply 2 USB chargeable LED lights to easily use in your bar. Just select the option at the checkout.
 
The middle shelf is made from a Scotch whisky barrel lid, encased within a steal rim from a barrel hoop.
 
As an added extra, each bar will have a bottle opener attached to the side.

Please note:
Free shipping is to the English mainland only due to this requiring palletised delivery. Shipping to Scotland and elsewhere can be arranged however additional shipping costs are likely. Shipping is Mon - Fri and will require someone to be present to accept the door step delivery. 
As this is a timber product it is susceptible to the effects of moisture. This could result in minor gapping between the barrel staves depending on conditions within your home.
The barrel bars are not suitable to be stored / used in areas of excessive heat such as by radiators, wood burning stoves and in warm conservatories and summer houses. High temperatures can cause the staves to loose too much moisture and shrink.

- The photos shown in this listing are example photos of a previous barrel bar we have made.
- The underside of the bar, which is out of view is purposely not over worked to allow some originality. There may be paint remains or faint distillery markings present.
- we suggest suitable floor protection is used (felt pads etc) to prevent scuffs and scratches to hard floors and also a mat to protect carpets from possible marks.
- although varnish is used over the vinyl to help seal it we recommend no harsh chemicals are used to prolong the look of your personalisation.
